This role involves assisting with operational and distribution responsibilities related to Pharmacy Technician functions, including Orlando Health software and hardware systems.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Understanding safety, emergency, and risk management procedures.
2. Aligning with the hospital mission, policies, philosophy, and customer service objectives of Pharmacy and Orlando Health.
3. Familiarity with general duties and processes of the Pharmacy department.
4. Utilizing resource persons and departments for customer service and patient care.
5. Operating equipment required for pharmacy procedures according to instructions, safety regulations, and policies.
6. Performing basic Pharmacy Technician procedures in accordance with scientific principles and Orlando Health policies.
7. Assisting pharmacists with medication distribution, drug procurement, aseptic techniques, and tasks related to automated dispensing cabinets.
8. Maintaining USP 797 standards and regulatory documentation.
9. Ensuring safe handling and disposal of medications.
10. Potential cross-training for specialty pharmacy functions based on departmental needs.
11. Completing assigned special projects.
12. Maintaining regular, punctual attendance per Orlando Health policies and applicable laws.
13. Complying with all organizational policies and procedures.

Qualifications include:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Pharmacy Technician registration with the Florida State Board of Pharmacy.
• No more than one year of experience as a pharmacy technician.
