We're actively seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician to join a fast-paced, collaborative pharmacy environment in Clearwater, FL. This is a contract opportunity ideal for a highly motivated technician looking to contribute to an efficient and patient-focused operation.

Position Details

• Type: Temporary/Contract
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM 5:30 PM
• Start Date: ASAP (Typically 1.52 weeks post-offer)
  
  

Responsibilities Include

• Accurately process and fill prescription orders under pharmacist supervision.
• Manage insurance adjudication processes and resolve claim rejections efficiently.
• Package, label, and prepare medications for pharmacist verification and shipment.
• Conduct precise data entry and manage documentation for prescriptions.
• Communicate with patients and prescribers regarding orders and clarification needs.
• Maintain organized inventory through cycle counts, restocking, and expiration tracking.
• Support the return, quarantine, and disposal of medications as required.
• Uphold pharmacy compliance standards including HIPAA and Medicare/Medicaid regulations.
  
  

Qualifications

• Active Florida Pharmacy Technician License required.
• National PTCB Certification required.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent pharmacy technician experience in a retail, mail order, or fulfillment environment.
• Prior experience with call center functions and insurance processes is strongly preferred.
• Must possess excellent communication, multitasking, and time management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and comfort working within a team-driven, high-volume operation.
