Job Summary

Under moderate supervision, the Pharmacy Technician I will support clinical drug trials by dispensing medication accurately and efficiently, along with performing cross-functional duties as needed.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

• Monitor pharmacy activities daily to ensure compliance with study protocols and dispensing procedures.
• Prepare and dispense investigational drugs following IRB-approved protocols under supervision.
• Assist in preparing blinded study products.
• Ensure proper storage of investigational drugs according to protocol and FDA guidelines.
• Monitor storage temperatures and alert management of any excursions.
• Assist in ordering, receiving, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals and supplies.
• Rotate stock to use items before expiration.
• Monitor expiration dates and supply levels for clinical trials.
• Prepare medications for inpatient study protocols.
• Adhere strictly to best practices, FDA regulations, ICH, GCP, CenExel SOPs, and company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Skills

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician required.
• At least 1 year of related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of pharmacy practices, medications, and medical supplies.
• Ability to maintain quality control and react calmly in emergencies.
• Ability to interpret and apply guidelines and procedures.
• Attention to detail.

Working Conditions

• Indoor clinical environment.
• Physical requirements include sitting, typing, standing, walking.
• Occasional lifting up to 20 pounds.
• Must report to work as scheduled.
• On-site work arrangement.
