An established healthcare provider seeks a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to assist with medication reconciliation and ensure optimal patient outcomes. In this role, you will conduct patient interviews, compile medication histories, and enter vital information into electronic health records. Assists with medication reconciliation to promote optimal patient outcomes. Conducts patient interviews and reviews medication documentation to compile medication histories for admitted patients. Enters compiled information into the electronic health record to facilitate medication reconciliation by the admitting provider. Performs functions impacting the medication reconciliation process and patient care. Seeks assistance or clarification from a pharmacist when questions or issues arise.
Education: High school diploma or GED required.
Registration: Must be registered with the Alabama State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician within 30 days of hire, with registration in good standing (“active”). Must have national certification with PTCB or ExCPT upon hire.
Experience: At least 6 months of current Pharmacy Technician experience required. Preference for experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings, especially outpatient/retail.
