Job summary
WellSpan Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists by filling prescriptions, labeling medications, and ensuring accurate dispensing to patients. The role includes delivering medications, assisting with IV preparation, and data entry within pharmacy computer systems.
Minimum education includes a High School Diploma or GED, plus completion of a Pharmacy Technician Program. Certification such as CPhT and state registration upon hire are required or expected.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Pharmacy Technician Program completed; certification/licensure as Pharmacy Technician preferred.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician and Registered Pharmacy Technician required or obtained Upon Hire.
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists by filling prescriptions and preparing labels.
- Deliver medications as needed and operate cash register.
- Submit and receive orders from suppliers; data entry in computer systems.
- Assist with IV preparation and delivery; train other staff.
- Participate in performance evaluations as part of the team.
- Logs all drugs delivered to pharmacy; work at Script Center location Mt. Gretna, PA as applicable.
