Job summary

WellSpan Health in Gettysburg, PA, seeks a Pharmacy Technician I to fill prescriptions and routine orders for medications and prepackaged pharmaceuticals, assist pharmacists as directed, and participate in daily delivery to the Script Center.

This full-time role requires accuracy, timely patient service, and collaboration with the pharmacy team across WellSpan locations. Proactive handling of orders and patient interactions is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Less than 1 year Pharmacy experience. Required
• 1 year Pharmacy experience. Preferred
• Certified Pharmacy Technician Upon Hire Required
• Registered Pharmacy Technician Upon Hire Required
• Pharmacy Technician Program. Upon Hire Required

Responsibilities

• Assists pharmacists as directed including filling orders and preparing labels.
• Assists patient, taking prescription, necessary information, etc. Operates cash register. Delivers medications as needed.
• Submits and receives orders from suppliers.
• Enters and/or retrieves data from established computer files using knowledge of various computer software applications.
• Assists with I.V. preparation and delivery.
• Trains other employees in day to day procedures.
• Participates in the performance evaluation process for Technician I and Driver.
• Position shares responsibility with other team members for daily delivery of patient medications to a Script Center in Mt. Gretna, PA. (Applies only to staff working at Good Samaritan Pharmacy location only; Department 43514).
