WellSpan Health in Gettysburg, PA is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists, fill prescriptions, prepare labels, and assist with medication deliveries and IV preparation. This PRN role requires an active Pharmacy Technician certification and a high school diploma or GED.

Day-to-day responsibilities include data entry, working with pharmacy software, and training other team members as needed. On-site duties include medication delivery to the Script Center in Mt.

PRN: Monday thru Friday 7am to 6:30 pm Rotating Shifts

General Summary

Fills prescriptions, routine orders for medications and prepackaged pharmaceuticals and performs other related duties.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

• Assists pharmacists as directed including filling orders and preparing labels.
• Assists patient, taking prescription, necessary information, etc. Operates cash register. Delivers medications as needed.
• Submits and receives orders from suppliers.
• Enters and/or retrieves data from established computer files using knowledge of various computer software applications.
• Assists with I.V. preparation and delivery.
• Trains other employees in day to day procedures.
• Participates in the performance evaluation process for Technician I and Driver.
• Position shares responsibility with other team members for daily delivery of patient medications to a Script Center in Mt. Gretna, PA. (Applies only to staff working at Good Samaritan Pharmacy location only; Department 43514).

• Logs all drugs delivered to pharmacy.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

• High School Diploma or GED Required

Work Experience:

• Less than 1 year Pharmacy experience. Required
• 1 year Pharmacy experience. Preferred

• Certified Pharmacy Technician Upon Hire Required and
• Registered Pharmacy Technician Upon Hire Required
