Job summary

Advocate Health Care in Milwaukee, WI, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for the Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center location. The role is full-time (40 hours/week) with a 6:30 AM-3:00 PM schedule, every other weekend and holiday, and a pay range of $21.85-$32.80 per hour.

Requires a High School Diploma; Pharmacy Technician certification to be obtained within 2 years. No prior experience is required; benefits eligibility is included.

Qualifications

• Must have strong basic math skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency with basic computer software and systems.

Responsibilities

• Develops competence in dispensing and delivery of medications.
• Develops competence in the department's information systems and automation for dispensing.
• Develops competence in preparing non-sterile products following USP and regulatory guidance.
• Enters medication orders in computer systems and processes requests.
• Manages phone calls from nurses, physicians, patients and team members.
• Interprets issues, provides timely resolution or hand-off as needed.
• Follows pharmacy procedures and documentation to meet regulatory standards.
• Complies with legal, regulatory, and accreditation requirements.
