Job summary

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a part-time Pharmacy Technician for the AMC Mount Pleasant department in Wisconsin. The role covers 20 hours per week with first and second shifts and every other weekend/holiday rotation.

You will dispense medications, work with information systems, and prepare non-sterile products while ensuring regulatory compliance. Wisconsin licensure and CPhT certification within two years are required.

Qualifications

• High School graduate required.
• Licensure/registration in Wisconsin as Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Student.
• CPhT certification within two years of hire; sit for the exam within the first year.
• No prior experience required.
• Good mathematics, attention to detail, communication and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop competence in dispensing and delivery of medications using department systems and automation.
• Prepare non-sterile products following USP, state, and federal guidelines.
• Enter medication orders in the computer system and process requests via the system.
• Handle calls from patients, nurses and physicians; ensure timely resolution or proper hand-off.
• Follow pharmacy procedures and documentation to meet legal and regulatory requirements.
• Comply with controlled substance procedures and USP/DNV standards.
