Minimum Responsibilities:

1. Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy, in accordance with state and federal regulations. Support other Pharmacy Department duties per company policies.
2. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions. Assist with and coach other pharmacy technicians and cashiers as applicable, especially if PTCB certified.
3. Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

• Engage customers and patients, greet them, and offer assistance. Resolve issues and answer questions to ensure positive experiences.
• Share customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assist in pharmacy practices under supervision, including entering patient and drug info, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and checking for interactions.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to policies on dispensing and quality improvement.
• Handle sales transactions, assist customers in locating products, and process third-party claims efficiently.
• Support inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals.
• Assist in clinical services, including collecting samples and coordinating with healthcare providers.
• Build relationships with the medical community through outreach and detailing.
• Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the pharmacy environment.
• Follow all company policies and maintain respectful coworker relationships.
• Complete assigned tasks and special projects as required.

Training & Personal Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated training program and/or state certification. Certification is required for promotion to senior technician.
• Attend training sessions and pursue continuing education to stay current in healthcare and pharmacy developments.

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
