Responsibilities include:

1. Assisting the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state and federal regulations, and performing other pharmacy duties per company policies.
2. Using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and, if PTCB certified, coaching other pharmacy technicians and cashiers in system operation.
3. Delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

• Greeting customers and patients, offering assistance, resolving issues, and answering questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Sharing customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal skills and Walgreens service traits.
• Developing strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assisting in pharmacy practice under supervision, including entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying accuracy, and managing workflow.
• Reporting prescription errors immediately and adhering to error and quality policies.
• Handling sales transactions, assisting customers in locating products, and supporting inventory management.
• Supporting clinical services, including sample collection and coordination with healthcare providers.
• Maintaining a clean and organized pharmacy environment and fostering respectful coworker relationships.

Training & Personal Development

• Maintaining PTCB certification through the designated training program and/or state certification, with promotion requirements as applicable.
• Attending training sessions, acquiring continuing education credits, and staying updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.

Additional requirements include fluency in English (except in Puerto Rico) and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
