Responsibilities include:

1. In accordance with state and federal regulations, assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy. Assist in other Pharmacy Department duties in accordance with company policies and procedures.
2. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions. If PTCB certified, assist and coach other pharmacy technicians and cashiers in pharmacy systems and register operations.
3. Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance. Resolve issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Share customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assist in pharmacy practice under supervision, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
• Perform duties like entering patient and drug info, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and assisting with workflow scheduling.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to quality policies.
• Handle sales transactions, assist with inventory management, and support clinical services as needed.
• Maintain the pharmacy environment, ensure proper supplies, and uphold company policies.

Training & Personal Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through our training program and/or state certification requirements.
• Attend training and acquire continuing education credits to stay updated in healthcare and pharmacy fields.

Additional requirements include fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico) and a willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
