Responsibilities

1. Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy, in accordance with state and federal regulations, company policies, and procedures.
2. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and, if PTCB certified, assist and coach other pharmacy technicians and cashiers in pharmacy system and register operations.
3. Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

1. Greet customers and patients, offer assistance, resolve issues, and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
2. Share customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
3. Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

1. Assist in pharmacy practices under pharmacist supervision, including entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and checking for interactions.
2. Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to company policies regarding dispensing and quality improvement.
3. Handle sales transactions, assist customers in locating products, and process third-party claims efficiently.
4. Support inventory management, clinical services, and community outreach efforts.
5. Maintain a clean, organized pharmacy environment and ensure compliance with policies.

Training & Personal Development

1. Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated training program and/or state certification, with promotion contingent upon certification.
2. Attend training and acquire continuing education credits to stay updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.

Additional requirements include fluency in English (except in Puerto Rico) and a willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
