Responsibilities include:

1. In accordance with state and federal regulations, assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy. Support other Pharmacy Department duties per company policies.
2. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and, if PTCB certified, assist and coach other pharmacy technicians and cashiers in their respective operations.
3. Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance, resolving issues, and answering questions to ensure positive experiences.
• Share customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assist in pharmacy practice under pharmacist supervision, adhering to all applicable policies and regulations.
• Perform duties such as entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying accuracy, and assisting with workflow management.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to quality and dispensing policies.
• Handle sales transactions, including cash handling, and assist customers in locating products.
• Process third-party prescription claims and support inventory management activities.
• Assist in clinical services, including sample collection and coordination with healthcare providers.
• Maintain good relationships with the medical community and support pharmacy and healthcare outreach activities.
• Ensure the pharmacy environment is stocked, clean, and orderly, and support maintenance activities.
• Follow all company policies, maintain respectful relationships, and complete assigned tasks.

Training & Personal Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated training program or state certification, as required.
• Attend training sessions, acquire continuing education credits, and stay updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
