Responsibilities

1. Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state and federal regulations, and perform other Pharmacy Department duties as per company policies.
2. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and assist with pharmacy operations if PTCB certified, including coaching other technicians and cashiers.
3. Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience by engaging with customers and resolving issues.
4. Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.
5. Assist in pharmacy practice under pharmacist supervision, including verifying prescriptions, entering data, and maintaining workflow.
6. Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to policies regarding dispensing and pharmacy safety.
7. Handle sales transactions, assist customers in locating products, and support inventory management activities.
8. Support clinical services, including sample collection and coordination with healthcare providers.
9. Maintain good relationships with the medical community through outreach and detailing.
10. Ensure the Pharmacy Department is well-stocked, clean, and orderly.
11. Complete special assignments and support ongoing personal development.

Training & Personal Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated training program or state certification, with certification as a condition for promotion.
• Attend training sessions and acquire continuing education credits to stay updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.

Additional Requirements

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
