Responsibilities include:

1. In accordance with state and federal regulations, assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy. Assist with other Pharmacy Department duties per company policies.
2. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and, if PTCB certified, assist and coach other pharmacy technicians and cashiers.
3. Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

• Engage customers and patients, greet them, offer assistance, resolve issues, and answer questions.
• Share customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assist in pharmacy practice under pharmacist supervision, ensuring compliance with regulations and policies.
• Perform duties such as entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and assisting in workflow management.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to quality policies.
• Handle sales transactions, assist customers in locating products, and process third-party claims.
• Support inventory management, clinical services, and maintain a clean, organized pharmacy environment.
• Build relationships with the medical community and support clinical and outreach activities.
• Assist in maintaining the pharmacy's physical environment and comply with all policies.

Training & Personal Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through our training program and/or state requirements; certification may be a condition for promotion.
• Attend training and acquire continuing education credits to stay updated in healthcare and pharmacy developments.

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
