Responsibilities include:

1. Assisting the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state and federal regulations, and assisting in other pharmacy department duties per company policies.
2. Using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and, if PTCB certified, coaching other pharmacy technicians and cashiers in system operation.
3. Delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

• Engage with customers and patients by greeting them, offering assistance, resolving issues, and answering questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Share customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assist in pharmacy practices under supervision, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
• Perform duties such as entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and assisting with workflow management.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to policies regarding dispensing and quality improvement.
• Handle sales transactions, assist customers in locating products, and support inventory management activities.
• Assist in clinical services, including sample collection and coordination with healthcare providers.
• Support relationship building with the medical community and maintain a neat and stocked pharmacy environment.

Training & Personal Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through our training program or state registration, and pursue certification as needed for promotion.
• Attend training sessions, acquire continuing education credits, and stay informed on healthcare and pharmacy developments.

Additional requirements include fluency in English (except in Puerto Rico) and a willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
