Responsibilities
  1. Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state and federal regulations. Support other Pharmacy Department duties per company policies.
  2. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and assist with pharmacy operations, including coaching other technicians if PTCB certified.
  3. Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience by engaging and assisting customers, resolving issues, and building strong relationships.
Customer Experience
  • Greet customers and offer assistance, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Share customer service best practices with team members to enhance service quality.
  • Develop relationships with valuable customers.
Operations
  • Assist in pharmacy practices, including data entry, prescription filling, and verifying medicines under supervision.
  • Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to quality policies.
  • Handle sales transactions, assist customers in locating products, and process third-party claims efficiently.
  • Support inventory management, clinical services, and maintain a clean, organized pharmacy environment.
  • Build relationships with healthcare providers and support clinical services as needed.
  • Participate in maintaining the pharmacy's appearance and supplies, and complete assigned tasks.
Training & Personal Development
  • Earn and maintain PTCB certification through our training program and/or state requirements. Certification is a condition for promotion to senior technician.
  • Attend training and acquire continuing education credits to stay updated with healthcare and pharmacy developments.
  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, is required.
