Job summary

Harris Teeter in Gastonia, NC is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists and deliver exceptional customer service in a compliant setting. You will assist with dispensing, data entry, adjudication, and reception while maintaining HIPAA protections and state registrations.

You'll participate in health and wellness services, CLIA-waived screenings where allowed, and ongoing coaching of clerks and technicians, upholding safety standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.
• Completion of national registration, certification or licensure.
• Equivalent experience of a pharmacy technician.

Responsibilities

• Support health and wellness initiatives.
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations and company policies.
• Assist pharmacist in all responsibilities except those requiring professional judgement.
• Maintain current national/state registration, certification or license.
• Assist with reception, data entry, adjudication and product dispensing.
• Support coaching and training of clerks/technicians.
• Perform post-fill audits to verify prescription data.
• Support non-dispensing services using various platforms and apps.
• Complete CLIA-waived screenings as allowed by law and policy.
• Provide additional health and wellness services as permitted by state/regulators.
• Comply with sanitation and safety regulations and report unsafe conditions.
