Job summary

Kroger Co. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support health and wellness initiatives in Caldwell, Idaho. You will assist the pharmacist, handle reception, data entry, adjudication, and dispensing tasks while upholding HIPAA and safety standards in a busy store environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining licenses, coaching clerks and technicians, performing CLIA-waived screenings where allowed, and ensuring accurate, compliant service for customers and employees daily.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.
• Completion of national registration, certification or licensure.

Responsibilities

• Understand and adhere to HIPAA regulations and company policies.
• Maintain current national and/or state registration, certification, or licensure.
• Assist pharmacist in responsibilities excluding those requiring professional judgement.
• Provide stellar customer experience during reception, data entry, adjudication, and dispensing.
• Support coaching and training of clerks and technicians.
• Compound medications according to regulations.
• Perform post-fill audits to verify prescription data.
• Support non-dispensing services via platforms and apps.
• Complete CLIA-waived screenings per regulations and policies.
• Provide additional health and wellness services as allowed.
• Comply with sanitation and safety regulations; notify management of unsafe conditions.
• Report illegal activity; theft or fraud to authorities.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions with/without accommodation.
