Lewis Drug Stores is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications. You will provide friendly service, handle prescriptions, and maintain patient confidentiality in a fast-paced store environment.

Responsibilities include operating pharmacy software, communicating with healthcare providers, and keeping the department organized and compliant with state regulations.

Qualifications

• On-the-job training available for national certification if not yet certified.
• Provide prompt, friendly service to patients in the store and pharmacy.
• Learn Lewis Drug policies and daily procedures.
• Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and dispensing prescription medications.
• Interact with physicians and healthcare providers as needed.
• Fill prescriptions accurately and efficiently.
• Handle phone calls, customer transactions, and drive-thru when applicable.
• Maintain accuracy in patient information and billing.
• Log into pharmacy software and manage daily technician tasks.
• Stock, clean, and prepare the pharmacy for the next day.
