Job summary

Lewis Drug Stores seeks a Pharmacy Clerk to be the initial contact for patients in our pharmacy, ensuring prompt, professional, and friendly care. You will manage patient interactions, help with wait times, sales, returns, and inquiries while safeguarding privacy and accuracy in prescription processing.

Ideal candidates demonstrate neat appearance, strong organization, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting, with a teamwork mindset and willingness to learn new systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required (or in progress).
• Ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly.
• Basic math and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient/customer care as the first point of contact in the pharmacy.
• Handle patient wait times, sales, returns and complaints professionally.
• Answer phone calls promptly and politely.
• Collect information from patients to fill prescriptions accurately.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information per HIPAA.
• Prepare paperwork and medications for delivery and mail orders.
• Assist drive-thru patients when applicable.
• Log into various software systems and operate a cash register.
• Stock supplies and keep work and patient areas clean.
• Promote Lewis initiatives and represent Lewis to patients and communities.
