Job summary

Lewis Drug Pharmacy in Sioux Falls is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the Chief Pharmacist and staff through accurate prescription preparation and patient service. You will help ensure drug therapy plans are followed, assist in distributing medications, and uphold Lewis Drug policies and state/national regulations.

The role emphasizes on-site work, teamwork, and on-the-job training for national certification where needed.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an approved/accredited pharmacy technician program is desired but not required.
• Complete yearly continuing education requirements to maintain active license.
• Additional pharmacy technician credentials/endorsements encouraged but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service to patients in the pharmacy and store.
• Assist in daily policies, procedures and Lewis Drug operations.
• Establish and maintain relationships with physicians and other healthcare providers.
• Answer patient questions and resolve issues promptly.
• Handle prescriptions accurately and efficiently while protecting patient privacy.
