Qualifications

• Analytical thinking to solve problems involving abstract and concrete variables.

• Counsel and advise customers and interact with patients, providers, and team members.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile.
• Handle customer inquiries that do not require a pharmacist's expertise.
• Accept new written prescription orders and telephoned refill requests.
• Contact doctors to take or request refill prescriptions.
• Gather and maintain accurate patient information for prescriptions.
• Assist pharmacists in preparing prescription drug products.
• Prepare and affix labels and prepare prescriptions to be mailed.
• Submit insurance claims and assist with third-party billing.
• File prescriptions after dispensing and report medication errors.
• Order, check in, and stock pharmacy supplies and log invoices.
• Perform cash transactions accurately.
• Administer vaccines as allowed by law with required certification.
• Maintain cleanliness of the pharmacy and dispensing area.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information per HIPAA.
• Adhere to statutes and regulations for pharmacy technicians.
• Work as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a positive environment.
• Assist in other store areas and take on special projects.
