Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile and learning their names.
• Accept new written prescription orders and telephoned refill requests at the supervising pharmacist's discretion.
• Assist pharmacists in preparing prescription drug products for dispensing.
• Prepare and affix labels to prescription containers and prepare prescriptions to be mailed.
• Process insurance claims and assist with third-party billing and troubleshooting.
• Stock pharmacy supplies and maintain cleanliness of the dispensing area.
• Maintain confidentiality of patients' information in accordance with HIPAA.
• Administer vaccines as allowed by law, with required certification where applicable.
