Job summary

Hy-Vee, Inc. is seeking a Non-Certified Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in processing prescriptions, insurance billing, inventory, and customer service.

You will learn toward national certification while gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced retail pharmacy. Expect to handle prescription orders, assist with billing, maintain patient information under HIPAA, stock supplies, and provide friendly service to customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Working toward national pharmacy technician certification.
• Vaccination certification required if administering vaccines.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service with a smile.
• Accept new prescriptions and telephoned refill requests.
• Assist with insurance claims and third-party billing and troubleshooting.
• Prepare and affix labels to prescription containers and prepare prescriptions to be mailed.
• Stock pharmacy supplies and maintain cleanliness of the dispensing area.
• Maintain patient confidentiality under HIPAA and follow all policies.
