Job summary

Cencora is seeking a pharmacy technician to support outpatient clinics in Reading, PA. The role involves dispensing specialty medications, processing prescriptions, and coordinating delivery while ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Located on-site in Reading with Monday–Friday hours; 7am–6pm and minimal weekends or holidays. Requires 1+ year of pharmacy experience, PTCB certification, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Education: Requires 1+ year(s) directly related and progressively responsible pharmacy experience; bachelor's degree program preferred.
• Pharmacy technician certification with Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) is required.
• Skills: Ability to communicate professionally and effectively both orally and in writing.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to address patient issues and communicate compassionately.
• Familiarity with pharmaceutical products, terminology, and clinical services and drug interactions.
• Strong organizational skills; attention to detail.
• Good analytical skills.
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy.
• Experience using pharmacy software systems and electronic health records.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in accurately dispensing specialty medications, including measuring, counting, labeling, and packaging prescriptions with precision.
• Review and enter prescription orders into pharmacy system accurately and efficiently.
• Coordinate, track, manage and facilitate prescription delivery; adhere to packing and tracking processes.
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels of medications and place orders as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals, triaging to pharmacist as appropriate.
• Conduct initial and follow-up calls with patients to assess medication adherence.
