Job summary

Cencora seeks a Pharmacy Call Center Technician for an onsite role in West Reading, PA. You will create patient profiles, enter prescription plan data, and manage insurance issues to support ambulatory pharmacy operations.

The role requires ambulatory pharmacy experience, a PTCB certification, and strong organizational and communication skills; bachelor’s degree is preferred. Trainees must upgrade to a technician license as required.

Qualifications

• Two years of ambulatory pharmacy experience required.
• Pharmacy technician certification (PTCB) required; state certification acceptable if equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; strong communication and organization skills expected.

Responsibilities

• Create patient profiles in the pharmacy information system.
• Enter prescription plan information for processing and adjudicating prescriptions.
• Enter new patient prescription information into the system.
• Address insurance, reimbursement, and payment issues with providers, patients and pharmacists.
• Assist pharmacists with therapeutic consults and plan adjudications.
• Support ambulatory dispensing robotic technology and inventory operations.
• Answer inbound calls and triage to appropriate staff.
• Ensure accurate medication preparation and timely order fulfillment.
