Job summary

Cencora is seeking a Pharmacy Concierge Technician to support the ambulatory pharmacy team at Reading Hospital in Reading, PA. The role coordinates discharge medications, processes prescriptions, and delivers medications at discharge to patients, with 40 hours per week and rotating shifts.

The ideal candidate holds a Pharmacy Technician license (PA) or trainee license by June 2026, with strong communication, problem-solving, and pharmacy billing knowledge from retail or hospital outpatient

Qualifications

Requires PA Pharmacy Technician license or trainee license (by June 2026).
Experience in retail pharmacy or hospital outpatient setting preferred.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills required.
Familiarity with outpatient prescription payer/PBM processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

Collaborates with internal team to gather paperwork and prescription billing info.
Answers inbound calls and triages to appropriate staff.
Creates patient profiles in the pharmacy information system.
Enters prescription plan data for processing and adjudicating prescriptions.
Supports concierge services from intake to bedside delivery at discharge.
Ensures adherence to regulatory and organizational policies and procedures.
Prepares inventory reports and submits orders.
Provides education to staff on patient assistance programs and policy changes.
Assists in achieving clinical and business goals of the ambulatory concierge program.
