Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas seeks a part-time Pharmacy Technician to support sterile compounding, IV admixtures, and routine pharmacy operations. The role requires standing for long periods and working days and evenings, with weekend shifts as scheduled.

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of pharmacy experience. An active Texas State Board of Pharmacy technician registration and BLS certification are required upon hire, with PTCB certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 1 year of experience in pharmacy or equivalent technician.
• Licenses and Certifications: (TSBP) Registered Pharmacy Technician Upon Hire and Basic Life Support certification. Upon Hire

Responsibilities

• Performs job responsibilities in accordance with organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
• Coordinates daily workflow in assigned area and provides leadership to other technicians.
• Performs IV calculations and prepares IV admixtures using aseptic technique.
• Handles intravenous chemotherapy and delivers medications on time.
• Audits and signs out all controlled substances per state and federal guidelines.
