UT Southwestern Medical Center is hiring a Pharmacy Technician for the Main Campus in Dallas. The role is full-time with rotating day/evening shifts and weekend work may be required.

You will support the Pharmacy team, perform compounding, IV admixtures, and inventory tasks while ensuring accuracy and patient safety. Qualified candidates have a High School Diploma, 1 year of pharmacy experience, and appropriate licensure with TSBP; BLS certification is required or obtained upon hire.

Qualifications

• Education High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience 1 year Of experience in pharmacy or equivalent technician
• Licenses and Certifications (TSBP) REG PHARMACY TECHNICIAN (Upon Hire) and BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (AHA/ARC) Upon Hire
• Preferred: Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) for sterile prep (optional)

Responsabilités

• Performs job responsibilities in accordance with organizational and departmental policies, procedures, performance improvement objectives and environmental and infection control standards.
• Coordinates daily workflow in assigned area and provides leadership to other technicians; performs extemporaneous compounding and unit-dose packaging.
• Accurately fills orders, enters charges, and restocks returns; performs IV calculations and IV admixtures using aseptic technique.
• Delivers medications on time; handles controlled substances per state and federal guidelines; maintains accuracy in records and audits.
• Assists with ordering, inventory management, and monitoring drug stock in a fiscally responsible manner.
• Participates in training, orientation, and maintains professional conduct and workplace cleanliness.
