Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX, is seeking a part-time Pharmacy Technician to assist the Pharmacy team. You will operate under supervision, handle extemporaneous compounding, and manage unit-dose packaging while maintaining accuracy and safety in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a high school diploma and at least one year of pharmacy experience; ACPE IV Certification and BLS are preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in pharmacy or equivalent technician role.
• ACPE IV Certification preferred.
• CPP/CPHT/BLS certifications preferred per hire

Responsibilities

• Performs IV calculations and prepares IV admixtures aseptically.
• Coordinates daily workflow and provides leadership to technicians.
• Accurately fills orders and restocks returns, including unit-dose packaging.
• Audits and signs out controlled substances per guidelines.
• Provides prompt and courteous service to patients and staff.
• Performs extemporaneous compounding as needed.
