Job summary

MetroHealth Medical Center in Ohio is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in the delivery of pharmaceutical care in specialty and inpatient settings. You will assist with take-home medications, participate in quality control of drug distribution, and help uphold the system’s customer service standards.

Under supervision, you will perform tasks across Pediatric, Critical Care, and Oncology pharmacies, while traveling to satellite locations as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 18 years of age or older with no felony convictions per Ohio law.
• Must obtain PTCB or ExCPT certification within 90 days of hire and maintain it.
• Registered or eligible to be registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy, with ongoing active registration.

Responsibilities

• Assist Pharmacists in delivering pharmaceutical care in specialty and inpatient pharmacies.
• Support quality control procedures for drug distribution technologies.
• Deliver medication-related services to in-house patients and take-home medications.
• Uphold MetroHealth System mission, vision, values and customer service standards.
