Job summary

MetroHealth System in Ohio seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in pediatric, critical care, oncology, and inpatient pharmacies. Under supervision, you will help deliver pharmaceutical care and manage take-home medications.

You will assist quality control for drug distribution technologies, interact respectfully with diverse patient populations, and uphold MetroHealth's mission and customer service standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 18 years of age or older with no felony convictions per Ohio code.
• Current/active PTCB or ExCPT certification within 90 days of hire; maintains certification.
• Currently registered, or eligible to register within 90 days, with the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy.
• Willing and able to travel to external satellite locations; reliable transportation.
• Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of a Pharmacist, supports delivery of pharmaceutical care in specialty and inpatient pharmacies and related take-home medications.
• Assists Pharmacists with quality control procedures for drug distribution technologies.
• Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.
