Job summary

Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center in Williamsburg, VA is seeking a Part-Time Inpatient Pharmacy Technician to support care delivery and dispensing under supervision of a licensed pharmacist. The role includes a $2,500 sign-on bonus and a 28-hour work week with rotating 12-hour shifts. The position requires a Virginia Pharmacy Technician license; CPhT is preferred.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Prior pharmacy experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Technician license required in the state of practice.
• CPhT license (through NHA/PTCBB) preferred.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Previous Pharmacy Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fills and delivers medications under supervision of a licensed pharmacist/licensed independent practitioner.
• Ensures adequate supplies are available for continuous patient care.
• Triages and escalates questions or issues outside the technician's scope.
• Uses appropriate systems for processing patient information.
• Maintains quality assurance per departmental and legal requirements.
• Operates pharmacy equipment.
• Additional duties may be assigned.

• Fills and delivers medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist/licensed independent practitioner
• Ensures adequate supplies are available for continuous patient care
• Triages and escalates any questions or issues outside the pharmacy technician's scope of practice as needed
• Uses appropriate systems for processing patient information
• Ensures quality assurance is maintained according to departmental and legal requirements
• Operates pharmacy equipment appropriately

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $23.50 - $36.36 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
