Job summary

Kennedy University Hospitals, Inc. seeks a Pharmacy Technician in New Jersey to assist in preparing and filling medications for inpatient and outpatient services.

You will support the department by ensuring the proper medications and tools are available for the clinical team and patients. Reporting to the Pharmacy Manager and supervised by staff pharmacists, you will prepare drug orders, replenish Pyxis machines, monitor refrigerator temperatures, and count, compound, and repack pharmaceuticals

Qualifications

• Supports medication preparation and filling for inpatient and outpatient services.
• Works under Pharmacy Manager and staff pharmacists supervision.
• Assists in ensuring medications and tools are available for clinical team and patients.

Responsibilities

• Prepares drug orders from Physicians for review and dispensing by a Registered Pharmacist.
• Replenishes all Pyxis machines.
• Monitors and records refrigerator temperatures and documents corrective actions.
• Counts, compounds and repackages pharmaceuticals using established procedures.
