Job summary

Kennedy University Hospitals, Inc is seeking a per diem Pharmacy Technician to support inpatient and outpatient services. You will assist in preparing and filling medications, replenish Pyxis, monitor refrigerated storage, and ensure accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• RPT - Registered Pharmacy Technician - State of Pennsylvania required upon hire.
• New Jersey registration within 180 days of hire and PTCB certification within 12 months or evidence of completion of a formal pharmacy technician training program.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
• Prepares drug orders from Physicians for review and dispensing by a Registered Pharmacist.
• Replenishes Pyxis machines and monitors refrigerator temperatures, documenting actions taken.
• Counts, compounds and repackages pharmaceuticals using established procedures.
• Dispenses medications and distributes to patient areas and restocks inventory.
• Performs billing/crediting functions and ensures proper waste documentation.
• Picks up Physician orders and maintains clean, organized work areas.
• Uses aseptic techniques to prepare IVs and records IV refrigeration daily.
