Job summary

You will collect patient information, prepare prescriptions under supervision, stock supplies, and help with vaccines where allowed. This role requires detail-orientation, reliability, and a willingness to learn within a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Working toward national certified technician program is required.
• Previous experience as a pharmacy clerk preferred.
• Vaccination certification may be required if administering vaccines.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers and assisting with inquiries.
• Assist pharmacists in processing prescriptions and insurance billing.
• Gather and maintain accurate patient information for prescriptions.
• Stock and maintain pharmacy supplies and log invoices as necessary.
• Administer vaccines as allowed by law, with required certification where applicable.
• Maintain the confidentiality of patients' private medical information (HIPAA).
• Adhere to all pharmacy laws and Hy-Vee policies.
