Job summary

Cone Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician III Certified Retail Specialty to support pharmacists in delivering safe, efficient, and cost-effective services. Working under limited supervision, you will help maintain workflow, inventory, billing, and other complex pharmacy processes in a retail setting.

Key duties include handling orders, answering calls, selling prescriptions, and collaborating with the purchasing agent to ensure inventory sufficiency.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in a pharmacy setting.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician and must complete an advanced certification within 12 months of starting.

Responsibilities

• Receives and transcribes orders, answers phones, and sells prescriptions to maintain pharmacy workflow.
• Works with the pharmacy purchasing agent to maintain inventory.
• Serves as a reference for other pharmacy technicians and mentors/train new employees.
• Leads process improvement initiatives and supports quality initiatives.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Essential Job Function:

• Receives and transcribes orders, answers phones, and sells prescriptions in order to maintain the pharmacy workflow.
• Works directly with pharmacy purchasing agent to maintain inventory.
• Serves as a reference for other pharmacy technicians.
• Mentors and trains new employees to build knowledge of the job area.
• Leads and implements process improvement and departmental quality initiatives.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education:

• Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

• Required: 5 years.

Licensure/Certification/Listing:

• Required: Certified Pharmacy Technician and must complete an 'advanced pharmacy technician certification' within 12 months of starting the role.
