Job summary

Cone Health Medical Group is seeking a Patient Care Support professional to support pharmacy operations as a Pharmacy Technician III Certified Retail Specialty. This role requires 5 years of experience, and certification as a Pharmacy Technician with advanced certification to be completed within 12 months of starting.

Working days with no weekend work, full-time 40 hours per week, on-site in the United States, you will assist pharmacists, manage orders, support inventory, and mentor junior staff

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 5 years of experience is required.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician and must complete an advanced pharmacy technician certification within 12 months of starting the role.

• Receives and transcribes orders, answers phones, and sells prescriptions to maintain pharmacy workflow.
• Works directly with pharmacy purchasing agent to maintain inventory.
• Serves as a reference for other pharmacy technicians.
• Mentors and trains new employees to build knowledge of the job area.
• Leads and implements process improvement and departmental quality initiatives.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Working under limited supervision, this role maintains workflow, inventory, billing and other complex pharmacy processes.
