Job summary

UCI Health in Orange County seeks a Pharmacy Technician to prepare, package, document, and label drug products under the supervision of a Pharmacist. The role includes data entry, filing, and inventory control, with involvement in performance improvement programs.

Requirements include at least one year of full-time Pharmacy Technician experience, English communication skills, and California Pharmacy Technician Registration (or Pharmacy Intern). Prior chemo admixture experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties.
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.
• Must be able to demonstrate proper aseptic techniques.
• Minimum one year full-time relevant experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
• California Board of Pharmacy Technician Registration License or Pharmacy Intern Registration Certificate.
• 1+ year experience in admixing chemotherapy drugs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, package, document, and label drug products under the direct technical supervision of the Pharmacist.
• Perform data entry and filing related to the process and handle drug purchasing and inventory control tasks.
• Participate in Pharmacy Department Performance Improvement projects/programs and collect workload data as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
