Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to prepare, package, document, and label drug products under direct supervision of a Pharmacist. This role involves data entry, filing, and supporting inventory control.

Candidates should have at least one year of full-time Pharmacy Technician experience, English communication skills, and California registration; experience with chemotherapy admixture is preferred. This is a full-time on-site position within the UC Irvine medical campus.

Qualifications

• Must have the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• California Board of Pharmacy Technician Registration License or Pharmacy Intern Registration Certificate.
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.
• 1+ year experience in admixing chemotherapy drugs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, package, document, and label drug products under the direct technical supervision of the Pharmacist.
• Perform all required data entry and filing associated with the process.
• Participate in Pharmacy Department Performance Improvement projects/programs and collect data for workload measurements as needed.
