Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to prepare, package, document, and label drug products under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist. The role includes data entry, purchasing and inventory control, and participation in performance improvement projects within the Pharmacy Department.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of full-time Pharmacy Technician experience, strong English communication skills, and a valid California Pharmacy Technician license or Pharmacy Intern

Qualifications

• Minimum one year full-time relevant experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• California Board of Pharmacy Technician Registration License or Pharmacy Intern Registration Certificate.
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, package, document, and label drug products under the direct technical supervision of the Pharmacist.
• Perform data entry and filing related to the process and handle drug purchasing and inventory control procedures.
• Participate in Pharmacy Department Performance Improvement projects and collect workload data as needed.
