Job summary

Freeman Health System in Springdale, AR is seeking a Pharmacy Technician PRN to support pharmacy operations under the pharmacist's supervision. The role focuses on preparation and distribution of medications, inventory management, and accurate documentation of drug therapy records.

Requirements include PTCB national certification or ExCPT, Arkansas Board licensure or Missouri Pharmacy Intern license; BS in Pharmacy preferred.

Qualifications

• PTCB national certification or ExCPT required.
• Active licensure as a Pharmacy Technician with the Arkansas Board of Pharmacy or Missouri Pharmacy Intern license.
• BS in Pharmacy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and distribution of all doses of medication under pharmacist supervision.
• Maintain drug inventories, stock auto-dispensing cabinets, packaging, extemporaneous compounding, and code cart re-stocks.
• Complete patient records related to drug therapy.

What You'll Do

Working under the direct supervision of the pharmacist, the pharmacy tech assists in all pharmacy operation functions related to: preparation & distribution of all doses of medication; maintenance of drug inventories ( stocking auto dispensing cabinets in the facility, drug packaging, extemporaneous compounding, code cart re-stock); and completions of patients records pertaining to drug therapy (aminoglycoside protocol orders, drug charges & credits.

Requirements

Current Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) national certification or Exam for Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT).

Registration with valid licensure as a Pharmacy Technician with the Arkansas Board of Pharmacy or current Missouri Pharmacy Intern License.
