Job summary

Freeman Springdale Hospital - Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our team on a PRN basis. You will prepare and distribute medications, maintain inventories, and update patient records related to drug therapy. Strong attention to detail and accuracy are essential.

Requirements include a PTCB certification or ExCPT, and a valid licensure with the Arkansas Board of Pharmacy or current Missouri Pharmacy Intern License. BS in Pharmacy is preferred.

Qualifications

• PTCB national certification or ExCPT is required.
• Active licensure as a Pharmacy Technician with Arkansas Board of Pharmacy or current Missouri Pharmacy Intern License.

Responsibilities

• Preparation and distribution of all doses of medication.
• Maintenance of drug inventories and stocking auto dispensing cabinets.
• Completion of patient records pertaining to drug therapy.

Schedule: PRN ( as needed) May be occasionally subject to irregular hours.

What You'll Do

• preparation & distribution of all doses of medication;
• maintenance of drug inventories ( stocking auto dispensing cabinets in the facility, drug packaging, extemporaneous compounding, code cart re-stock);
• and completions of patients records pertaining to drug therapy (aminoglycoside protocol orders, drug charges & credits.

Requirements

• Current Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) national certification or Exam for Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT).
• Registration with valid licensure as a Pharmacy Technician with the Arkansas Board of Pharmacy or current Missouri Pharmacy Intern License.
