Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; 2-year/Associate Degree preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of two pharmacy skills (e.g., medication distribution, sterile compounding, medication listing activities) required, or current employment as a Pharmacy Technician 1 Certified performing a second pharmacy skill.
- Outpatient Oncology: At least two years of experience in any setting, with one year in sterile compounding (IV and/or chemotherapy), required.
- Specialty Pharmacy: Minimum of two years in any setting, with one year in a specialty setting preferred, required.
- Licensure/Certification:
- Current registration with applicable State Board(s) of pharmacy required.
- PTCB or NHA Certification within 60 days of hire or proof of enrollment in pharmacy school/FPEGG/FPGEC required.
- At least one relevant specialized certification from approved vendors (e.g., PTCB, BPTS, NPTA) must be obtained within 12 months of hire and maintained.
- Additional skills required:
- State registration and/or renewal evidence required for Pharmacists and Technicians, with certification through PTCB or NHA, or active enrollment in pharmacy school, or active in FPGEE/FPGEC.
- Strong math, communication, and technology skills; ability to follow instructions; ability to travel to multiple facilities; ability to work in a high-performing, resilient team.
- Additional skills preferred:
- Knowledge of medication names, doses, routes, and adverse effects; patient interview skills; inventory management experience.
