Job Description: Pharmacy Technician II Certified Retail Specialty

The Pharmacy Technician II Certified Retail Specialty performs specialized functions to assist pharmacists in providing safe, efficient, and cost-effective services. Working under moderate supervision, this role helps maintain workflow, inventory, billing, and other pharmacy processes.

1. Receives and transcribes orders, answers phones, and sells prescriptions to support pharmacy operations.
2. Assists in inventory management.
3. Serves as a reference for other pharmacy technicians.
4. Mentors employees through training and orientation.
5. Leads and implements process improvements and quality initiatives within the department.
6. Delivers high-quality customer service to every patient.
7. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience: At least 2 years of relevant experience
• Licensure/Certification: Pharmacy Technician certification through PTCB or NHA prior to hire. Must be registered with the NC Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire.
