Job description

The Pharmacy Technician II Certified Retail Specialty performs specialized functions necessary to assist pharmacists in providing safe, efficient, and cost-effective services. Working under moderate supervision, this role helps to maintain the workflow, inventory, billing, and other pharmacy processes.

Responsibilities include:

1. Receiving and transcribing orders, answering phones, and selling prescriptions to maintain the pharmacy workflow.
2. Assisting in inventory maintenance.
3. Serving as a reference for other pharmacy technicians.
4. Mentoring employees through training and orientation processes.
5. Leading and implementing process improvement and departmental quality initiatives.
6. Delivering quality customer service to every patient.
7. Performing other duties as assigned.

Education: Required: High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience: Required: 2 years

Licensure/Certification/Registry/List: Pharmacy Technician certification through PTCB or NHA prior to hire. Registered with the NC Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire.
