Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required; 2-year/Associate Degree preferred.
• Experience:
• Minimum of two pharmacy skills (e.g., medication distribution, sterile compounding, medication listing activities) required, or
• Hired as a Pharmacy Technician 1 Certified and performing a second pharmacy skill.
• For outpatient oncology: at least two years of experience including one year in sterile compounding.
• For specialty pharmacy: at least two years in any setting, with one year in a specialty setting preferred.
• Licensure/Certification:
• Current registry with applicable State Board(s) of pharmacy required.
• PTCB or NHA Certification within 60 days of hire, or proof of enrollment in pharmacy school/FPEGG/FPGEC.
• At least one specialized certificate from approved vendors (e.g., PTCB, BPTS, NPTA) obtained within 12 months of hire and maintained.
• Additional skills:
• State registration and renewal evidence required.
• Knowledge of medication names, doses, routes, adverse effects; strong communication skills; basic math and technology skills.
• Ability to drive/travel between facilities and work as part of a resilient, high-performing team.
