Job summary

Johns Hopkins Medicine invites applications for a Pharmacy Technician role at the Bayview Campus. The position supports preparation, packaging, distribution, and documentation of medications, with emphasis on proper inventory control and accurate records.

Requires a high school diploma; hospital experience is preferred, and completion of a pharmacy tech program is desirable. Current Maryland registration and PTCB certification are required. 20 hours weekly with rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Pharmacy technician training preferred.
• Maryland State Board registration as Pharmacy Technician required.
• PTCB certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and packaging of medications.
• Distribute and deliver medications to patients.

ThePharmacy Techniciansare responsible for a variety of duties to assist in the preparation and packaging of medications, distribution and delivery of medications, supporting the maintenance of proper inventory levels, and keeping appropriate records and documentation.

Requirements

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of previous hospital experience preferred.
• Completion of a pharmacy technician training program is preferred.
• Requires knowledge of pharmacy work routines, procedures, materials, terminology, and medication names.

• Current registration with the Maryland State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certified required.
